Speaker Announcement
We are pleased to announce that Dr. Marcus Fulde, Professor of Veterinary Infection Biology at the Institute of Microbiology and Epizootics, School of Veterinary Medicine, Freie Universität Berlin (The Free University of Berlin), Germany, as a confirmed speaker at the Global Virtual Streptococcus Research Symposium, to be held online on April 27–28, 2026.
Prof. Fulde’s presentation will address recent advances in understanding 𝘚𝘵𝘳𝘦𝘱𝘵𝘰𝘤𝘰𝘤𝘤𝘶𝘴 𝘤𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘴 as an emerging zoonotic pathogen, with emphasis on host–pathogen interactions, cross-species transmission, and epidemiological trends. This work provides critical insights into veterinary and human health intersections within streptococcal disease research.
Prof. Marcus Fulde is an internationally recognized expert in veterinary infection biology, with research interests spanning zoonotic pathogens, bacterial virulence mechanisms, and host–pathogen interactions. His work at Freie Universität Berlin integrates microbiology, epidemiology, and translational approaches relevant to both animal and human health.
