Dr. Honglin Jia

We are pleased to welcome Dr. Honglin Jia, Professor at the Harbin Veterinary Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, as a featured speaker at the International Virtual Conference on Advances in Toxoplasmosis Research.

Prof. Jia is a leading investigator in parasite molecular biology whose research focuses on the regulation of the Toxoplasma gondii cell cycle, developmental transitions, and chronic infection. His laboratory combines molecular genetics, cell biology, and biochemical approaches to uncover how signaling enzymes such as phosphatases coordinate parasite proliferation and differentiation.

In this talk, Prof. Jia will present recent findings revealing how a cell cycle–regulating phosphatase controls stage conversion in Toxoplasma, providing new insights into mechanisms underlying parasite persistence, tissue cyst formation, and disease latency. Join the meeting to learn how cell cycle regulation intersects with developmental biology to shape toxoplasmosis outcomes.
