Can cells influence the aging process simply by communicating with one another? Understanding how cells exchange signals and coordinate responses across tissues is emerging as a key question in aging research and may hold clues to extending healthspan.
We are delighted to welcome Dr. Consuelo Borrás Blasco, Full Professor of Physiology at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Valencia, Spain, as a speaker at the International Conference on Cell Biology (C-BIO 2026).
Valencia, Spain | December 2–4, 2026
This presentation will explore how intercellular communication influences the aging process and contributes to maintaining tissue function and organismal health. The talk will discuss emerging evidence showing that signaling between cells plays a critical role in regulating longevity, resilience, and age-related decline.
Prof. Borras is an internationally recognized researcher in the field of aging biology and physiology. Her work has contributed significantly to understanding the molecular and cellular mechanisms that promote healthy aging, with particular emphasis on oxidative stress, mitochondrial function, and longevity pathways.
Her research investigates the biological mechanisms underlying healthy aging, including mitochondrial signaling, oxidative stress responses, cellular communication networks, and factors that influence lifespan and healthspan. Her laboratory aims to identify molecular pathways that can be targeted to delay age-associated dysfunction and improve quality of life during aging.
Join us at C-BIO 2026 this December 2-4 to discover how cellular communication shapes the aging process and what it may reveal about promoting healthier and longer lives.
