We are delighted to announce that Dr. Azzurra Stefanucci, Associate Professor in the Department of Pharmacy at the University of Chieti-Pescara, Italy, will deliver a keynote lecture at SustainNatural – 2026 – Safe and Sustainable Natural Products and Climate-Resilient Innovations Conference, taking place from November 23–25, 2026 in Prague, Czech Republic.
Dr. Stefanucci’s keynote presentation will explore innovative strategies for transforming agricultural and food-processing by-products into valuable resources and highlight how waste streams such as grape pomace, tomato peels, and other plant-based residues can be leveraged to recover bioactive compounds, promote circular economy practices, and support sustainable development in the food, pharmaceutical, and nutraceutical sectors.
Dr. Stefanucci’s current research focuses on medicinal chemistry, bioactive natural products, sustainable valorization of agri-food waste, peptide science, and the development of innovative compounds with potential pharmaceutical and health applications. Her work contributes to advancing resource-efficient approaches that bridge environmental sustainability with human health and wellbeing.
Azzurra is a distinguished researcher and academic whose interdisciplinary expertise spans pharmaceutical sciences, natural product research, and sustainable innovation.
