We are pleased to announce that Dr. Anna Rita Bilia, Full Professor at the University of Florence (Italy) and Director of the Post-graduate School of Hospital Pharmacy, will deliver a keynote lecture at the SustainNatural – 2026 – Safe and Sustainable Natural Products and Climate-Resilient Innovations Conference, taking place from November 23–25, 2026 in Prague, Czech Republic.
Her keynote, titled “Sustainability of Plant Extraction and Formulation,” will address the growing need for environmentally responsible approaches in natural product research. She will discuss advances in green extraction technologies, sustainable formulation strategies, and regulatory perspectives that support the development of safe, effective, and eco-friendly plant-based products.
Prof. Bilia’s current research focuses on medicinal plants and natural products, particularly on sustainable extraction methods, phytopharmaceutical formulation development, quality control and standardization of botanical products, and improving the bioavailability and efficacy of plant-derived compounds. Her work also emphasizes integrating sustainability principles into pharmaceutical and nutraceutical innovation.
Prof. Anna Rita Bilia is an internationally recognized expert in pharmacognosy and pharmaceutical sciences. She has made significant contributions to medicinal plant research and natural product formulation, and through her roles at the University of Florence, she continues to advance research, education, and innovation in phytotherapy and sustainable pharmaceutical development.
