Speaker Announcement

We are pleased to announce Alex J Keeley, PhD, from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, U. of London, United Kingdom, as a featured speaker at the Global Virtual Streptococcus Research Symposium, taking place April 27–28, 2026 (Eastern Time, USA).

Dr. Keeley’s presentation will examine current research on the development of type-specific antibody responses against Streptococcus pyogenes, with a focus on how M protein diversity shapes the acquisition of protective immunity. His work addresses key questions in immune memory, strain-specific protection, and implications for the design of broadly protective Strep A vaccines.

Dr. Keeley is a researcher in infectious disease immunology whose work focuses on host immune responses to streptococcal pathogens. Based at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine, his research integrates immuno-epidemiology and molecular approaches to better understand immunity to Streptococcus pyogenes and inform vaccine development strategies.

Dates: April 27–28, 2026
Format: Virtual – Eastern Time (US)

This conference is organized by Impact Research Communications (IRC)
