We are pleased to announce that Dr. Hector Peinado, Associate Professor and Group Leader at the Centro Nacional de Biotecnología (CNB-CSIC), will be joining the International Conference on Cell Biology (C-BIO 2026) as a Keynote Speaker.
Dr. Peinado is recognized for his contributions to cancer biology, particularly in understanding how tumor-derived extracellular vesicles influence disease progression and metastasis. His work has helped clarify how intercellular communication shapes the tumor microenvironment and immune responses.
His research explores the role of extracellular vesicles (EVs) in cancer progression and their potential as therapeutic tools. His group investigates how EVs can be engineered or leveraged to improve immunotherapy strategies, including enhancing immune activation and targeting tumor cells more effectively. This work bridges fundamental cell biology with translational applications in oncology.
