We are pleased to announce that Dr. Debra Bessen, Professor of Pathology, Microbiology and Immunology at New York Medical College, as a featured speaker at the Global Virtual Streptococcus Research Symposium, to be held online on April 27–28, 2026.

This presentation will examine longitudinal analyses of Group A Streptococcus–specific IgG responses in school-aged children, addressing key questions related to immune correlates of protection. The findings provide important insights into naturally acquired immunity and have direct relevance for Strep A vaccine development and evaluation.

Dr. Debra E. Bessen is an internationally recognized investigator whose research focuses on the molecular epidemiology, pathogenesis, and immune responses associated with Streptococcus pyogenes. Her work has significantly advanced understanding of host–pathogen interactions and population-level immunity, with implications for translational research and public health.

Dates: April 27–28, 2026
Format: Virtual – Eastern Time (US)

This conference is organized by Impact Research Communications (IRC)
