Speaker Announcement

We are pleased to announce Dr. Christopher LaRock, Associate Professor in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at the Emory University School of Medicine, as a confirmed speaker at the Global Virtual Streptococcus Research Symposium, to be held online on April 27–28, 2026.

Dr. LaRock’s presentation will focus on recent discoveries in how the innate immune system detects and responds to proteolytic virulence factors produced by streptococci. The talk will highlight host sensing mechanisms that distinguish pathogenic activity, shaping inflammatory responses and influencing disease outcomes.

Dr. Christopher LaRock is an investigator whose research centers on host–pathogen interactions, with particular emphasis on innate immune recognition of bacterial virulence factors and inflammatory signaling pathways during streptococcal infections. His work provides fundamental insights into immune defense mechanisms and bacterial pathogenesis.

Dates: April 27–28, 2026
Format: Virtual – Eastern Time (US)

This conference is organized by Impact Research Communications (IRC)
