Speaker Announcement
We are pleased to announce Dr. Nikolai Siemens, Professor in Molecular Genetics of Infections at the Universität Greifswald, Germany, as a confirmed speaker at the Global Virtual Streptococcus Research Symposium, taking place April 27–28, 2026 (Eastern Time, USA).
Prof. Siemens’ presentation will highlight recent advances in understanding how Streptococcus pyogenes modulates host immune responses during infection. His work examines the molecular mechanisms that shape the balance between effective host defense and bacterial immune evasion, providing important insights into disease progression, tissue damage, and potential therapeutic strategies.
Dr. Nikolai Siemens is an internationally recognized expert in molecular infection biology. His research focuses on host–pathogen interactions, inflammatory signaling pathways, and the genetic determinants that influence streptococcal virulence and immune modulation. His work integrates molecular genetics with translational perspectives relevant to infectious disease research.
