Speaker Announcement | 2nd International Virtual Conference on Staphylococci and Staphylococcal Infections
February 23–24, 2026
We are pleased to welcome Matthieu Degreze, from Hospices Civils de Lyon – HCL (France), as a speaker at the 2nd International Virtual Conference on Staphylococci and Staphylococcal Infections.
Matthieu Degreze will present current research addressing key challenges in phage therapy against Staphylococcus aureus. His talk will focus on strategies for selecting broad-spectrum anti-staphylococcal phages while minimizing the risk of resistance development, an essential consideration for the safe and effective clinical application of phage-based therapeutics.
A trained pharmacist and researcher in clinical microbiology, Matthieu currently serves as a Resident in the Bacteriology Department at Croix-Rousse Hospital, Lyon. In parallel, he is a researcher at the International Center for Infectiology Research (CIRI), where he studies anti-staphylococcal phages under the guidance of Prof. Frederic LAURENT, Professor of Microbiology and Head of the Bacteriology Department at CHU de Lyon – Croix-Rousse Hospital. His work contributes to advancing phage therapy as a promising alternative to antibiotics in the era of antimicrobial resistance.
We look forward to Matthieu Degreze’s contribution to an exciting and forward-looking scientific program.
This conference is organized by Impact Research Communications (IRC)
