2 Keynotes – 18 Emerging Leaders – One Day of Breakthrough Malaria Science

Join us on June 29, 2026 for the 2026 Global Virtual Conference: “Shaping the Future of Malaria Research”, a one-day online event chaired by Dr. Sanjay Desai (NIAID/NIH, The National Institutes of Health USA).

Bringing together leading experts and rising scientific talent from across the globe, the conference will showcase the latest discoveries shaping our understanding of malaria biology, immunity, therapeutics, transmission, and elimination.

The program features keynote presentations by:
George Christophides (Imperial College London)
Wai-Hong Tham (WEHI (Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research) & The Australian National University)

Alongside 18 outstanding researcher and trainee presentations, attendees will hear cutting-edge research on:

Malaria vaccine development and controlled human malaria infection studies
Vector biology and innovative approaches to interrupt malaria transmission
Host–parasite interactions and mechanisms of erythrocyte invasion
Antimalarial drug discovery, resistance, and novel therapeutic targets
Single-cell genomics, structural biology, and Cryo-EM breakthroughs
Immune responses, monoclonal antibodies, and correlates of protection
Cerebral malaria pathogenesis and severe disease mechanisms

From parasite ion channels and nutrient transporters to mosquito-stage interventions and next-generation vaccine strategies, the program highlights ground breaking research from laboratories at the forefront of malaria science.

Whether you are a researcher, clinician, student, postdoctoral fellow, or public health professional, this conference offers a unique opportunity to stay informed about the latest developments driving the future of malaria research and elimination.
