We are pleased to welcome Dr. Steve Carpenter, MD, PhD, Assistant Professor in the Division of Infectious Diseases & HIV Medicine, Department of Medicine, School of Medicine, Case Western Reserve University (Cleveland, OH), as a distinguished speaker at 2nd Frontiers in TB & Mycobacteriology Conference (Online) on March 2–3, 2026.
In this presentation, Dr. Carpenter will examine how human CD4⁺ T cells detect, interpret, and react to macrophages harboring M. tuberculosis. He will discuss the breadth and fine specificity of these responses, the spectrum of functional programs activated within different CD4⁺ T cell subsets, and how these diverse immune signatures influence disease control or progression.
Stephen’s talk will also explore what this complexity reveals about host–pathogen interaction at the cellular interface and how these insights can inform the development of more precise and effective TB vaccines and immunomodulatory approaches.
Join global experts and innovators pushing the boundaries of TB immunology and host-response research.
Date: March 2–3, 2026
Time/zone: 8am-3:30pm /eastern time, USA
This conference is organized by Impact Research Communications (IRC)
