Speaker Announcement | 2nd International Virtual Conference on Staphylococci and Staphylococcal Infections
We are happy to announce Dr. Silva Holtfreter from Universität Greifswald, Germany, as a speaker at the 2nd International Virtual Conference on Staphylococci and Staphylococcal Infections.
Dr. Holtfreter will present novel findings from mouse infection models that reveal how persistent Staphylococcus aureus colonization can trigger organ-specific inflammation and a robust Th17-mediated immune response. Her talk will provide important mechanistic insights into host–pathogen interactions during long-term colonization, with implications for understanding immune activation, pathology, and protective responses in staphylococcal disease.
Now a group leader at the Institute of Immunology, University Medicine Greifswald, Silva’s research centers on dissecting host–pathogen dynamics in mouse infection and colonization models, identifying S. aureus virulence determinants through molecular epidemiology, and characterizing antibody and T cell responses during colonization and infection.
We are delighted to feature Dr. Holtfreter and look forward to her insightful contribution to the conference program.
This conference is organized by Impact Research Communications (IRC)
