We are excited to announce that Dr. Lucas Boeck from the Department of Biomedicine, University of Basel (Switzerland) will be joining us as a featured speaker at the 2026 conference.
In his talk, Dr. Boeck will explore the complex biological factors that influence how mycobacteria respond to antibiotic pressure. He will discuss the cellular and metabolic states that shape drug susceptibility, the stress pathways that modulate killing efficiency, and how heterogeneity within bacterial populations contributes to treatment challenges.
Lucas will also highlight the downstream consequences of antibiotic exposure, ranging from altered physiological states to the emergence of resilient subpopulations, and what these dynamics mean for improving current TB therapies. This work offers valuable insights into why certain antibiotics succeed, why others struggle, and how a deeper understanding of bacterial responses can inform more effective treatment strategies.
Join leading researchers, clinicians, and public-health experts as we explore cutting-edge advances driving the future of TB and mycobacterial science.
Date: March 2–3, 2026
