Speaker Announcement | 2nd International Virtual Conference on Staphylococci and Staphylococcal Infections
We are delighted to welcome Dr. Meera Unnikrishnan, Professor at Warwick Medical School, University of Warwick (United Kingdom), as an invited speaker at the 2nd International Virtual Conference on Staphylococci and Staphylococcal Infections.
Prof. Unnikrishnan will present cutting-edge research on the Type VII secretion system of Staphylococcus aureus, highlighting how this specialized machinery exports virulence factors that shape host–pathogen interactions, immune modulation, and bacterial competition. Her talk will provide important mechanistic insights into secretion-driven pathogenicity and identify potential targets for anti-virulence therapies.
Dr. Unnikrishnan’s laboratory focuses on the molecular mechanisms of protein secretion, cell envelope biology, and virulence in S. aureus. Using genetics, cell biology, and infection models, her group is uncovering how secretion systems enable staphylococci to adapt to host environments and cause disease, advancing our understanding of bacterial pathogenesis and therapeutic intervention strategies.
Join global experts as we explore innovative strategies shaping the therapeutic development.
This conference is organized by Impact Research Communications (IRC)
