Speaker Announcement | Schistosoma-2026

We are pleased to feature Dr. Jeroen Pollet, Associate Professor in the Laboratory for Advanced Immunotechnologies and Formulation, Department of Pediatrics, Division of Tropical Medicine, National School of Tropical Medicine at Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, TX as a distinguished speaker at the II Global Virtual Symposium on Schistosomiasis.

June 2, 2026
Online | Eastern Time (US & Canada)

Dr. Pollet is a leading researcher in vaccine development and immunotechnology, with expertise in advanced vaccine platforms, formulation science, and translational immunology. His research focuses on developing innovative vaccines for neglected tropical diseases using next-generation technologies, including mRNA-based approaches.

His current work explores the use of mRNA vaccines encoding variant forms of Sm-TSP-2, a key schistosome tegument protein, to induce protective immune responses against Schistosoma mansoni. This cutting-edge research is advancing the development of novel vaccine strategies aimed at improving efficacy, immune durability, and global accessibility for schistosomiasis prevention.

In this presentation, Dr. Pollet will share the latest findings on mRNA vaccine design, protective immunity, and translational opportunities for combating schistosomiasis through next-generation immunization technologies.

Join us for an exciting session highlighting innovation at the forefront of vaccine science and global health.

This conference is organized by Impact Research Communications (IRC)
