We are pleased to announce that Dr. Kristyna Slamova, Senior Scientist at the Laboratory of Biotransformation, Institute of Microbiology of the Czech Academy of Sciences, will be speaking at SustainNatural – 2026 – Safe and Sustainable Natural Products and Climate-Resilient Innovations Conference, taking place from November 23–25, 2026 in IMG Conference Centre, Institute of Molecular Genetics of the Czech Academy of Sciences.
Dr. Slamova’s presentation will explore innovative enzyme-based approaches for modifying chitooligomers to enhance their functionality in sustainable agriculture. The talk will highlight how enzymatic biotransformation can be used to develop environmentally friendly crop protection strategies, offering promising alternatives that support plant health, reduce chemical inputs, and contribute to climate-resilient agricultural systems.
Her current research focuses on enzyme engineering, glycoscience, carbohydrate-active enzymes, microbial biotransformation, and the structural and functional modification of oligosaccharides for agricultural, pharmaceutical, and biotechnological applications. Her work combines microbiology, enzymology, and biotechnology to develop sustainable bio-based solutions with broad industrial and environmental relevance.
Dr. Kristyna Slamova is a leading researcher in enzymology and biotransformation, with extensive expertise in the chemistry and biology of carbohydrates and enzyme-catalyzed processes. As a Senior Scientist at the Institute of Microbiology of the Czech Academy of Sciences, she has contributed significantly to advancing the understanding and application of microbial enzymes for the development of innovative, sustainable technologies in agriculture and biotechnology.
Join us in Prague this November to discover how enzymatic technologies are revolutionizing crop protection and paving the way for greener, more sustainable agricultural innovations.
