We are happy to announce Dr. Xabier Aranguren, Principal Investigator of the In vivo Organ Generation by Stem Cells group at CIMA – University of Navarra, Spain, as a speaker at the International Conference on Cell Biology (C-BIO 2026).

Dr. Aranguren’s presentation will explore emerging strategies to overcome biological barriers in blastocyst complementation, a promising approach in stem cell and regenerative biology aimed at generating functional tissues and organs across species. The talk will highlight developmental and cellular mechanisms that influence inter-species compatibility and organ generation.
Dr. Aranguren leads research focused on stem cell biology, developmental biology, and regenerative medicine. His work investigates how pluripotent stem cells can contribute to organogenesis and tissue regeneration, with the broader goal of advancing translational approaches for organ repair and replacement.
Xabier’s group is currently studying in-vivo organ generation using stem cells, interspecies chimerism, and blastocyst complementation technologies. The research combines stem cell engineering, developmental biology, and experimental models to better understand cellular integration, tissue specification, and regenerative potential in complex biological systems.
