His research centers on aggrephagy, a specialized form of autophagy responsible for the selective degradation of protein aggregates. This process is critical for cellular quality control and has major implications in neurodegenerative diseases and proteinopathies. His lab combines molecular biology, cell biology, and advanced imaging approaches to unravel how cells identify, sequester, and degrade toxic protein assemblies.
