Speaker Announcement | 2nd International Virtual Conference on Staphylococci and Staphylococcal Infections
We are pleased to welcome Dr. Xiaogang Wang, Assistant Professor of Microbiology at the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine, Virginia Tech (USA), as an invited speaker at the 2nd International Virtual Conference on Staphylococci and Staphylococcal Infections.
Dr. Wang will present groundbreaking findings revealing extracellular vesicles as a key structural and functional component of Staphylococcus aureus biofilms. His talk will highlight how these vesicles influence biofilm architecture, intercellular communication, and virulence, offering new insights into biofilm biology and potential targets for disrupting persistent staphylococcal infections.
Dr. Wang’s research focuses on bacterial biofilms, extracellular vesicles, and host–pathogen interactions. By integrating microbiology, molecular biology, and advanced imaging approaches, his work is uncovering novel mechanisms by which S. aureus forms resilient communities and evades host defenses, contributing to the development of innovative strategies to combat biofilm-associated infections.
We look forward to Dr. Wang’s contribution to an exciting and impactful scientific program.
This conference is organized by Impact Research Communications (IRC)
