Speaker Announcement | ViStaph2026
We are delighted to welcome Dr. Maisem Laabei, Senior Lecturer and Principal Investigator in the School of Cellular and Molecular Medicine, University of Bristol (UK), as an invited speaker at the 2nd International Virtual Conference on Staphylococci and Staphylococcal Infections.
Dr. Laabei will present cutting-edge findings on how S. aureus rapidly adapts upon contact with human serum to enhance survival against innate immune defenses. His talk will highlight the molecular and regulatory changes that enable immune evasion, providing important insights into bloodstream infection, virulence evolution, and host–pathogen interactions.
Dr. Laabei’s research focuses on the genetic and phenotypic diversity of Staphylococcus aureus and how environmental cues shape virulence, immune evasion, and disease outcome. By integrating genomics, transcriptomics, and experimental infection models, his group is uncovering how host environments drive adaptive responses that influence pathogenicity and treatment failure.
We look forward to Dr. Laabei’s insightful contribution to an exciting scientific program.
This conference is organized by Impact Research Communications (IRC)
