We are delighted to welcome Dr. Sabrina Marion, Principal Investigator at the Center of Infection and Immunity of Lille (Institut Pasteur de Lille), as a featured speaker at the International Virtual Conference on Advances in Toxoplasmosis Research.
Dr. Marion’s research focuses on host–pathogen interactions and immune evasion strategies employed by Toxoplasma gondii. Her laboratory investigates how different parasite strains interact with and manipulate dendritic cells, key sentinels of the immune system that orchestrate innate and adaptive immune responses during infection.
In this talk, Dr. Marion will present new insights into how genetically distinct Toxoplasma strains differentially modulate dendritic cell activation, signaling pathways, and immune polarization. Understanding these strain-specific immune interactions provides critical knowledge about parasite virulence, host susceptibility, and the mechanisms that shape disease outcomes.
