Can artificial intelligence and single-molecule imaging reveal cellular changes that conventional microscopy cannot resolve?
The combination of advanced imaging and computational analysis is opening new ways to study protein dynamics and disease mechanisms at unprecedented resolution.

We are pleased to welcome Dr. Michael Shannon, Research Associate in Computational Imaging at the Laboratory of Synthetic Embryology, The Rockefeller University, New York, USA, as a speaker at the International Conference on Cell Biology (C-BIO 2026).

Valencia, Spain | December 2–4, 2026

This presentation will explore how AI-enabled computational imaging and single-molecule microscopy can uncover dynamic molecular changes associated with Huntington biology. The talk will highlight how advanced quantitative imaging can reveal dominant-negative effects on protein dynamics and provide new insights into cellular mechanisms underlying disease.

Dr. Shannon is working at the intersection of cell biology, microscopy, artificial intelligence, and quantitative analysis; and his work combines advanced imaging technologies with computational approaches to investigate complex cellular and molecular processes.

His research focuses on single-molecule imaging, computational microscopy, AI-driven image analysis, and molecular dynamics, with applications in understanding protein behavior and cellular organization. By integrating experimental imaging with computational methods, his work aims to extract quantitative biological insights from complex imaging data.

Join us at C-BIO 2026 to explore how AI and advanced imaging are transforming the way we visualize and understand cellular processes.
