We’re pleased to announce Dr. Anthony Baughn, Professor, Department of Microbiology & Immunology, University of Minnesota, as a featured speaker at the 2nd International Virtual Conference on Frontiers in TB & Mycobacteriology, taking place online March 2–3, 2026.
Talk: “Repurposing an Antiviral Nucleotide Analog for TB Drug Discovery”
Dr. Baughn’s work centers on the metabolic requirements for bacterial persistence in Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Mtb). His lab investigates how Mtb enters metabolically distinct states that enable survival despite antibiotics and immune pressures. Through genetic, biochemical, and metabolomic approaches, they identify pathways driving persistence, phenotypic drug tolerance, and new therapeutic targets, contributing to the global effort to eradicate TB.
Join us virtually, learn and connect with leading experts advancing TB research.
Date: March 2–3, 2026
