🔴 Day 1 Live Update
Session 1 — Drug Resistance Mechanisms and Antibiotic Discovery
Day 1 continues with Session 1, chaired by Prof. Sanjib Bhakta, Professor of Molecular Microbiology and Biochemistry at Birkbeck, University of London, and associated with the Institute of Structural and Molecular Biology at UCL and Birkbeck.
Prof. Bhakta’s research focuses on tuberculosis and other mycobacterial infections, with particular interests in antimicrobial drug resistance, novel drug discovery, therapeutic target validation, and drug repurposing. His Mycobacteria Research Laboratory investigates different metabolic states of Mycobacterium species and approaches to identifying and developing new therapeutic strategies.
This session brings together scientific perspectives on drug resistance mechanisms and antibiotic discovery, two important areas in the ongoing development of new approaches for tuberculosis treatment.
With research spanning therapeutic targets, antimicrobial resistance and drug discovery, the session provides a focused scientific setting for discussions on challenges and opportunities in TB therapeutics.
This conference is organized by Impact Research Communications (IRC)
