We are pleased to announce that Dr. Zhang Tianyu, Group Leader of the Tuberculosis Laboratory at the State Key Laboratory of Respiratory Disease, Guangzhou Institutes of Biomedicine and Health, Chinese Academy of Sciences (China), will be a featured speaker at the 2nd International Virtual Conference on Frontiers in TB & Mycobacteriology.
Dr. Zhang is an emerging leader in tuberculosis research, with a strong focus on understanding the molecular and cellular mechanisms that underlie mycobacterial survival and killing under therapeutic pressure. His current research integrates systems biology, chemical biology, and functional genomics to dissect how combinations of stresses and antimicrobial agents act synergistically to induce mycobacterial death.
In this presentation, Dr. Zhang will highlight recent advances from his group on the synergistic lethal mechanisms in Mycobacterium tuberculosis, revealing how coordinated targeting of multiple pathways amplifies bactericidal activity and overcomes drug tolerance. He will discuss how these findings provide mechanistic insights into combination therapy, inform the rational design of drug regimens, and open new avenues for developing more effective treatments against drug-resistant and persistent TB.
Join global researchers and clinicians as we explore cutting-edge discoveries shaping the future of TB therapeutics.
This conference is organized by Impact Research Communications (IRC)
