Speaker Announcement | 2nd International Virtual Conference on Staphylococci and Staphylococcal Infections

We are pleased to welcome Dr. Fan Zhang, Research Associate in the Division of Infectious Diseases, Boston Children’s Hospital and Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School (USA), as an invited speaker at the 2nd International Virtual Conference on Staphylococci and Staphylococcal Infections.
Dr. Zhang will present compelling insights into how cellular immune responses shape host defense against Staphylococcus aureus. Her talk will highlight key immune cell populations and mechanisms that drive protection versus pathology, offering important implications for vaccine development, immunotherapies, and improved strategies to prevent and treat staphylococcal infections.
Dr. Zhang’s research focuses on host immune responses to bacterial pathogens, with a particular emphasis on T cell–mediated immunity and immune regulation during S. aureus infection. By combining immunology, microbiology, and translational models, her work is advancing our understanding of protective immunity and informing next-generation interventions against staphylococcal disease.
We look forward to Dr. Zhang’s contribution to an exciting and impactful scientific program.
