Speaker Announcement
February 10, 2026 | Central European Time
We are pleased to welcome Prof. Dr. med. Georg Weber as a featured speaker at the Virtual Liquid Biopsy Symposium.
Dr. Weber is a Professor in the Department of Surgery at FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU), Germany, and Co-Founder of Preliqx, an early-stage biotech startup focused on liquid biopsy diagnostics for the early detection of cancer and kidney disease. He is a clinician-scientist with extensive expertise in translational oncology, biomarker discovery, and clinical implementation of precision diagnostics.
Prof. Weber’s research centers on the molecular mechanisms of tumor progression, metastasis, and therapy resistance, with a strong emphasis on identifying circulating DNA, RNA, and protein biomarkers that enable early diagnosis and patient stratification. His work bridges academic discovery and entrepreneurial translation, developing liquid biopsy platforms that move rapidly from the laboratory to clinical application, particularly for aggressive malignancies such as pancreatic cancer.
In this talk, Prof. Weber will discuss how liquid biopsy is advancing early detection, real-time disease monitoring, and molecular stratification of pancreatic cancer patients. The presentation will highlight recent progress in circulating biomarker technologies and their role in guiding personalized therapeutic decisions, offering new hope for improving outcomes in one of the most challenging cancers.
Join us for an in-depth look at how cutting-edge liquid biopsy research is shaping the future of pancreatic cancer care.
Time: Starts at 12:30 PM, Central European Time
