We are pleased to welcome Dr. Remond Fijneman as a featured speaker at the Virtual Liquid Biopsy Symposium.
Dr. Fijneman is a senior researcher at The Netherlands Cancer Institute (NKI), Amsterdam, where his work focuses on translational cancer genomics, molecular biomarkers, and the clinical implementation of precision oncology tools. His research encompasses the development and validation of ctDNA assays, integration of genomic and epigenomic markers, and strategies to improve early detection and treatment stratification, particularly in colorectal cancer.
In this talk, Dr. Fijneman will explore how circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) is being applied at multiple phases of colorectal cancer care. He will cover its use in:
- Early detection and risk stratification
- Assessment of minimal residual disease after surgery
- Monitoring treatment response
- Detecting relapse before clinical symptoms appear
