We are excited to announce the scientific program for the upcoming conference, featuring cutting-edge research spanning host immunity, parasite biology, and translational insights in Toxoplasma gondii. The two-day program highlights advances in human innate immune detection by primate-specific T cell subsets, myeloid cell–mediated immunity, and dendritic cell modulation, alongside emerging concepts such as social sensing–driven immune reprogramming and immunometabolic control of T cell plasticity.
Sessions will explore host–pathogen interactions at critical interfaces, including trophoblast dysfunction, placental barrier crossing, genome integrity, reproductive impacts, and chronic neuronal IL-1–driven neuroinflammation linked to cognitive impairment. Together, these studies provide new perspectives on how Toxoplasma shapes immune responses, host physiology, and disease outcomes.
The program also features major advances in parasite cell and molecular biology, including apical complex organization and reorganization during invasion, actin-driven motility, exocytosis regulated by GTPases, and guanylate cyclase signaling. Additional sessions will address parasite division, stage conversion, bradyzoite metabolic vulnerabilities, metal acquisition strategies, protein trafficking, and organelle biogenesis, uncovering mechanisms that drive virulence, persistence, and transmission.
