We are pleased to announce Dr. Ana Belén Heredia Gutiérrez as a Keynote Speaker at the Trends in Food Science and Emerging Technologies – An International Conference (TFoSET), taking place from November 25–27, 2026, in Prague, Czech Republic

Dr. Heredia is a Full Professor in the Department of Food Technology at the Higher Technical School of Agricultural and Environmental Engineering at Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV), Spain, where she conducts her research at the Institute of Food Engineering (FoodUPV). She holds a PhD in Food Science and Technology and has built an outstanding academic career, contributing to more than 25 national and international research projects.

Her research focuses on the development and validation of novel plant-based ingredients and innovative food concepts tailored to specific population groups. She specializes in the use of in-vitro digestion and colonic fermentation models to study the bio-accessibility, functionality, and physiological impact of food components.

Her current research explores the design of functional and plant-based foods aimed at improving health outcomes across different life stages. She is particularly engaged in developing nutritional solutions for children, older adults, and individuals with gastrointestinal disorders such as pancreatic insufficiency and gut dysbiosis. Her work also emphasizes understanding nutrient bioavailability and gut health interactions, contributing to evidence-based innovation in personalized and health-oriented food systems.

Her research continues to bridge the gap between food science and human health, supporting the development of next-generation foods with targeted nutritional benefits.
