๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ณ. ๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐๐๐บ is a Full Professor and Head of the Department of Biotechnology and Food Analysis at the Faculty of Production Engineering, Wroclaw University of Economics and Business, Poland. She is also the Founder Director of the Adaptive Food Systems Accelerator Research Centre, driving interdisciplinary innovation in next-generation food systems.
An active contributor to European and international research ecosystems, Prof. Harasym serves as an Independent Expert for the European Commission, FCT Portugal, the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education, COST Actions, NCBR Poland, and PARP Poland, and works as an Independent Consultant at B+R Consulting. Her professional affiliations include membership in leading global organizations such as the Institute of Food Technologists (IFT), ISEKI-Food Association, ASIFF, and AACC International. She has also held key academic leadership roles as an elected member of the Senate and the Doctoral School Council at WUEB.
๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ณ. ๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐๐๐บ’๐ research is centered on functional foods and sustainable food systems, with a strong focus on the extraction and application of bioactive compounds, particularly oat beta-glucans. She has made significant contributions to innovative processing technologies, including static magnetic field applications, 3D food printing, mild extrusion, and the valorisation of agricultural by-products.
