Speaker Announcement | 2nd International Virtual Conference on Staphylococci and Staphylococcal Infections
February 23–24, 2026
We are pleased to welcome Dr. Kuan-Yi (呂冠毅) Lu, PhD, Postdoctoral Fellow in the Conlon Lab at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (USA), as an invited speaker at the 2nd International Virtual Conference on Staphylococci and Staphylococcal Infections.
Dr. Lu will present exciting new research demonstrating how host-directed adjuvant strategies can overcome antibiotic tolerance by targeting intracellular bacterial persisters. His talk will highlight mechanisms by which modulation of host pathways enhances antibiotic efficacy, offering promising therapeutic approaches to combat persistent Staphylococcus aureus infections that evade conventional treatment.
Dr. Lu’s research focuses on bacterial persistence, intracellular survival, and host–pathogen interactions. Working in the Conlon Lab, he integrates microbiology, immunology, and therapeutic discovery to identify strategies that sensitize tolerant bacterial populations to antibiotics, advancing the development of innovative treatments for chronic and relapsing infections.
We look forward to Dr. Lu’s contribution to an impactful and forward-looking scientific program.
This conference is organized by Impact Research Communications (IRC)
